Somehow, some people who I really don't like got my cell phone number. Now that they have it, they keep calling me and sending me stupid text messages. If they keep texting me, it'll run up my bill because I don't have text on my phone, so is there some way to block the number from my phone? At least is there some way I can stop them from sending me text messages? Is it possible to block phone numbers from calling my cell phone?
Because most providers send updates to your phone through the text messaging feature on the backend so you never really see it, you usually cannot block the function on your phone. If you have T-Mobile you can log into My T-Mobile and go to the communication tool to set up a junkmail filter. Other than that, I would suggest either telling them to stop it, and be firm with that request or change your mobile number and make sure that they don't get the new one.Is it possible to block phone numbers from calling my cell phone?
also you can call from your cell phone 888-382-1222 it blocks your # for 5 years on the national do not call list. Report Abuse
I have had problems before and when it comes to cell phones. The best option for me has been to change the number. Let your provider know about the issue also they may have something special they may be able to do for you.
I would call your provider to see if anything can be done. I know that you can sign your cell phone up for the no call list for telemarketers.
Even though I sell mobile phones for a living, I didn't know the answer to this question until we recently had someone harassing my son on his phone.
I was told that there is no way to block specific numbers currently. However, on text messages there are some providers that have an option to have them blocked all together. You would have to contact your provider to see if they offer that service.
The National Do Not Call list is for telemarketers. It does work to put your number on there to block those calls, but not any others.
Other than that, you would have to change your cell phone number.
Call your customer service for information on that
