Adobe indesign - how to create master pages & automatic numbers?

I am creating a 20 page document, with a cover.


Trying to create master pages and have automatic numbering on them.


Does anyone know how this can be done - or if you know of any tutorials.Adobe indesign - how to create master pages %26amp; automatic numbers?
Go to your master page, drag out a text box (where you want your auto page numbering to be), double click inside the box and either:





1) Right click -%26gt; insert special character -%26gt; auto page number





or





2) Go to type -%26gt; insert special character -%26gt; auto page number

The adobe website has a ton of tutorials, or you can pick up a visual how to book - there is no way I will be able to talk you through this over the internet, sorry





Look under the topic of auto pagination
if you have Microsoft word on your computer,click on insert then click on page numbers,this will ask you where you want the numbers.


As for the front page, click on format,then styles and formatting, then click on new style,this will give you choices where you want to change your text etc.Also insert,then picture


this will give you options on clip art and word art,also you can use your own pics or pics off the Internet have a play around with it.there is also the help button. I hope I've helped
