How do I remove the BOLD on some numbered bullet points using WORD 2000?

I have a long document in WORD 2000 which has numbered bullet points. Some of these bullet numbers are BOLD for some reason and I don't know how to remove them or why they are there. Any idea how to remove these would be great. It's only the numbering that appears in BOLD not the associated text and the points before and after these numbers are fine?? I've tried to adjust the Bullets *%26amp; Numbers formatting to either all Bold or Normal but that doesn't work and neither does using the Show/Hide option to display the ';code';.How do I remove the BOLD on some numbered bullet points using WORD 2000?
You will have to select all those which you want to change. Then hit Ctrl B....This bring them down to non bold characters. If this doesn't do the trick, try pressing Ctrl B again.

If this doesn't solve, then take it that Numbers as bullets are always bold
