the third number also records the percentage of somethin i just need to know whatOn a bag of fertilizer there are numbers that look like ';10-10-10';or';15-15-10';what dose each one mean?
Percent of material.

First# Nitrogen

Second# P2O5

Third# K2O

So if it's a 10-10-10 and you have a 50 pound bag you have 5 pounds of N, 5 pounds of P2O5, and 5 pounds of K2OOn a bag of fertilizer there are numbers that look like ';10-10-10';or';15-15-10';what dose each one mean?
The numbers refer to the pounds of different elements per 100 lbs of fertilizer, the elements are nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus. Verify the order on any fertilizer package, because this was taken from memory.
Fertilizers typically provide, in varying proportions, the three major plant nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium: N-P-K).

The three numbers express the % of each nutrient in the fertilizer.
The numbers tell you the percentage of the following chemicals in the bag.1st...nitrogen, 2nd...phosphorus, 3rd...potassium. OK?
All the answers are good .
