I cant figure out how to do my page numbering for MLA in microsoft word. It has to do with (Last name+page #)?

I'm using Microsoft word typing an MLA essay and so far its all good, but i cant seem to figure out how to do page numbers for each page. I can get it to automatically do page numbers but then my last name isn't in front of it. Please help! Thanks! In MS Word go to View then Header %26amp; Footer then Insert Auto Text then Author, Page Num., Date then write your name or surname and delete Date.I cant figure out how to do my page numbering for MLA in microsoft word. It has to do with (Last name+page #)?
Go into the view menu / header and footer


A box will show up on the top of the screen. Type in your name and there should be a header and footer toolbox. Make sure to click on the page number. Just make sure that you right align it.
