If I wanted to call/text someone from the US to Australia, what numbers would I use?

I want to be able to text someone in Australia, I know the number but I need the International code. What would they be?If I wanted to call/text someone from the US to Australia, what numbers would I use?
You need to make sure the carriers are compatible. Some carriers in the US can't send/recieve texts to some carriers here in Aus.

In Australia, our mobile numbers start with 0. What you need to do, is take the number (eg - 0404 040 404) and replace the 0 with 61, which is our country code. You will probably also need to use the international call code, which for us is 0011 - this may only be necessary for calling though, so you may want to leave it out.

So it then becomes 0011 61404 040 404.

Happy texting. If I wanted to call/text someone from the US to Australia, what numbers would I use?
If you are going to call up on a mobile number, then either prefix 00 before the number (for example, 009945844688) or else you can just prefix the country code along with the '+'; symbol and dial the number(for example, +611234567890).

You can find out the country codes here.
